Heard of Copacobana? Heard of the girl from Ipanema? On the same stretch is a beach called Leblon. It is fabulous. The waves are strong and mighty, and the atmosphere is electric. This painting captures only a small portion of life on the beach. A few people standing with their feet in the water as the huge waves trundle towards them and suddenly lose their strength.
